Comments

This coin bears the unusual reverse ending in AVG instead of AVGG. Cohen listed this legend, but RIC and RSC cite this as erroneous. No proper AVG reverses are cited for Philip I either, only for Otacilia Severa. See F. Óvári, 'Philippus antiochiai veretü antoninianusairól [Concerning the antoniniani of Philip minted at Antioch], Numismatikai Közlöny 88-89 (1989-1990).
