Gold Solidus, AD 367. Constantinople.
Obverse: D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, diademed bust left, draped in imperial mantle, holding short sceptre and mappa.

Reverse: VOTA PVBLICA, two emperors (Valentinian I and Valens), nimbate and draped in imperial mantle, enthroned facing, each holding short sceptre and mappa; at feet to left and right, captives kneeling, hands bound; (star)CONS(wreath) in exergue.
