Hannibal Barca was a great Carthaginian commander of the Second Punic War. He is famous for being a fearless leader and at the same time, a brilliant strategist. His victories and fightings were so spectacular that even today are considered to be the symbols of military success. One such event was his marching through the Alps with the army of 9,000 cavalry soldiers, 50,000 infantry soldiers, and 37 elephants. By the way, it is represented on the obverse of the coin. The reverse of the coin depicts the image of Hannibal Barca with a beautiful stone insert.
