Caesar Domitianus Augustus

"Capitolio Restituto – In Celebration of the Restoration of the Capitol" The third temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill (rebuilt under Vespasian and dedicated in 75 CE) burned down in 80 CE during the reign of Titus. It was reconstructed and consecrated in 82 CE by Emperor Domitian, who was serving as consul at the time. White marble, imported from Athens, was used in the construction, effectively preventing future fires.

Plutarch notes that 12,000 talents of gold (approximately 312 tons, equivalent to several billion in today's currency) were spent on the project. The temple became the largest and most magnificent in Rome. Statues of Juno and Minerva flanked the figure of Jupiter, with an eagle with outstretched wings placed below. In this form, the temple served until the reforms of Theodosius I in 392 CE.
