What's happened at CollecOnline in the last 3 months?

Hello community, a lot has happened at CollecOnline during the last  3 months! We are going to tell you all about it in this article.

The CollecOnline team is growing

We started the year 2021 on a high note! Our team is growing and is becoming gender balanced. The ColleConline squad is not a men only team anymore since two women joined us. Our new teammates are in charge of creating and managing content for our communication department. Laetitia, interior architect and designer, 28 years old, joined our forces as Content Manager. Our second recruit is Magalie, photographer by training, 28 years old and multilingual, she’s our new Community Manager. They are in charge of writing articles, translating documents, creating illustrations, improving our website, communicating with members, creating graphic supports, and anything communication related. Thanks to our new creative recruits, our presence on social media channels is stronger than ever. We wish them a warm welcome!

Since the beginning of March 2021, we moved back to our office spaces in Blanchemaille, Roubaix. While respecting social distances, the team met there to work hard but also to bond in real life! These last few months remained productive but we all spent hours behind screens, working from home. Based on how the global pandemic evolves, we hope to be able to work on site in the upcoming months.

A brand new performance engine 

CollecOnline keeps its body but upgrades to a new engine! In a few words, a new version of CollecOnline has been released, a change that is invisible for the eyes, but that allows our platform to run faster. This technical migration improves site performance and overall user experience.

This update took more than 2 months of hard work but we are confident that these improvements will last us for the next few years. Now that this task is checked on our to-do list, we will be able to resume the course of our roadmap and work on new features in the coming weeks! 

A new dashboard

During the month of March, we took part in an online gamification workshop. This collective exercise allowed us to understand the world of Gamification; it’s a process that helps create interesting, interactive and fun content for users by adding game-inspired elements. The goal of gamification is to make an action more playful, to encourage the commitment of the individuals who participate in it and to introduce a viral dimension. Curious and enticed by this concept, we wanted to explore ways to create original experiences for our collectors.

During the past couple of weeks the team has been working on this feature. We redesigned our member’s homepage and we can tell you that this new feature will change your habits! 

From now on, you have access to a dashboard. Art lovers and collectors will now become real pilots; as soon as they log into their CollecOnline account,  their main information is fingertips away.

Below is a preview of your new dashboard.

This dashboard gathers all the important information that a collector wants to find easily on a daily basis. It is made of multiple "cards", highlighting different subjects such as work in progress, achievements, the number of collections reached... Our distribution map of objects has also received an update:. the diagram is  now clickable and interactive. 

Secure sharing links

At CollecOnline, when you manage private collections and are subscribed to a Premium membership, you can share your objects and collections through our Secure Sharing feature.

This service allows you to generate temporary links. These secure links can then be shared with people of your choice, for them to access your selection of  objects and collections in complete confidentiality. You can also set up custom time limits for these temporary links. 

This new feature is useful to organize a private sale by giving temporary access to people outside of CollecOnline. It also allows you to temporarily share your object files with any professional or private individual in the context of a study, an authentication or an estimation. 

Distribution of objects, a clickable graph!  

On the dashboard, and in the same spirit of gamification, we have developed a new small but innovative feature! The object distribution pie chart is now clickable, it redirects you directly to your objects based on your categories. It's a new way to rediscover your collections, or to explore others' collections!

An updated pricing list

At the beginning of this year, we revised our price list. The subscription formulas remain the same: Free, Classic and Premium. However, the Premium subscription price has been reduced from €30 to €20! 

For a Free membership, you can inventory your items in collections, file  important documents and invoices, chat with community members and acquire new items on the marketplace.

The Free subscription, also comes with limited  storage space:

• Publish up to 10 items in private visibility. 
• Put up to 5 items for sale on the Marketplace.
• Upload a maximum of 3 images per item. 
• 5 GB of storage space for your documents, invoices and certificates. 

For a Classic subscription, you will have the same services as the free subscription, but in addition, you get an advanced management of the images of your objects. You have the possibility to choose up to 2 personalized characteristics for your objects and generate 1 certificate of Proof of property per month.

The Classic subscription allows also upgrades your storage space to:

• 500 items in private visibility. 
• 100 items for sale on the Marketplace.
• 5 images per item. 
• 10 GB of storage space

The Premium subscription offers everything in  Classic and more. You gain access to personalized assistance, a member of the CollecOnline team will accompany you in your steps. You will be able to import your collections on CollecOnline from a file or an external  website. Finally, you also get  access to the new secure link sharing feature.

The Premium subscription comes  with an even larger storage space:

• 1000 items in private visibility. 
• 500 items for sale on the Marketplace.10 images per item. 
• 100 GB of storage space.
• 10 custom features for your items.
• 10 certificates of Proof of property  per month.

Subscribing annually to any tier will get you  one month for free.
