Extremely rare and desirable obverse legend with the PERPETVO title. Probus was the only roman emperor to use this title in the whole Roman coinage; the only other close analogy would be the Dictator Perpetuo title bestowed upon Julius Ceasar in the year 44 BCE). Only the 2nd example of this exact variant known!
Only 3rd example of this type known to me (THE OTHER BEING SOLIDUS 13/340 and Freeman & Sear - F&S Mail Bid Sale #11 / Lot: 413 = WILDWINDS)
Great provenance: ex Philippe Gysen collection = Ex Lanz 86 (1998), 691
Collection : 06 Probus - Serdica
