"Holey Gold Hat" (2010)

This was my signature hat that I wore to coin shows.  All the coins were gold pieces predating 1900.  The centerpiece of it was a solidus of the Eastern Roman emperor Zeno, which had come from the famous Eliasberg collection.  There were other nice (but holed) old gold coins on there.  I sold them all to survive during the Great Recession of 2008, when I was briefly unemployed.  I still have the (empty) hat, however, and as of 2022, I have casually restarted the "holey" collection, albeit without gold.
