Eclectic numismatist

Some of you who have done business with me or won one of my giveaways might have seen some of these, as I often give away single pieces (and sometimes sets) as gifts.

These are my own custom elongated coins. I had the dies made and coins rolled out by Cindy Calhoun of "Cindy's Cents", who is president of TEC (The Elongated Collectors).

The design is the Scottish clan badge of the Clan Donnachaidh (Robertson). My mother's maiden name was Robertson, which is how I came to have that as my first name.

Few if any folks nowadays use older host coins for elongates, let alone silver, so I thought that would be fun.

Numismatic regards,

~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick

Below are the types.  This four (4)-piece set includes Types 1, 2, 3, and 5, shown below.  It does not include a Type 4 coin, but if you want one of those to add to your set, just contact me.

Type 1: included.  Your Type 1 coin may be either the holed or non-holed variant.  If you have a preference, let me know.

Type 2: included.  Dates on host coin will vary, but the date is usually readable.

Type 3: included.  May have some quality issues since the host coins were already culls (problem coins) before they got rolled.  Dates may or may not be readable (most are- if faintly), but it should at least be identifiable as an Indian cent.

Type 4: NOT included, though available on request for an additional fee.  Shown only for illustrative purposes.  The Type 4 pieces are the "rarities" of the Lord Marcovan series to date, since only 30 were produced.

Type 5: included.  Again, culls (problem coins) were used, though most coins should have readable host coin dates.

You may receive an envelope similar to the 2020-issued sets as shown below.  I used gummed coin envelopes before, but have since switched to envelopes with a re-closable metal clasp instead.
