Comments:
NOTE: These coins have four main variants according to Krause WC:
Stockholm mint, Poor detailed for early years. Exists both with lozanged edge (km# 383.1) with milled edge (km# 383.2) and with smooth edge (km# 383.4 ??? unlisted in Krause).
Swedish catalogues recognize three subtypes:
- Type 1 dated 1720 and 1721 as for 1/2 Ore SM minted over nodmynt: Publica Fide those with milled edge and over other nodmynt those with lozanged edge. This type have wider but short crowns on obverse. On reverse the crown is very big and high, arrows are thick and have "V" shaped feathers.
- Type 2 dated 1724-1726 with narrow and very high crowns (with triangular flowers) on obverse. Numeric value is detailed (in following dates 1 is in "I" shape). Also inside this subtypes there are many variants: 1724 coins may have large or small shield, and arrow feathers can be "V" shaped or "U" shaped. FRS letters can be separated by dots or rosettes.
- Type 3 dated 1750 very similiar to 1749 coin from Avesta but with smaller letters and numbers.
Avesta mint. more deteiled than coins minted in Stockholm and a little heavier (4.7 grams). (km# 383.3). Swedish catalogues recognize two subtypes:
- Type 4A dated 1746 with smaller crowns on obverse and straight date; on reverse the crown is wide.
- Type 4B dated 1749 with bigger crowns on reverse and curved date; on reverse the crown is narrow and shorter.
