United States: bronze patriotic Civil War token: "The Flag of Our Union", 1863 (with "SPOOT" error)

These wartime tokens bore a very violent recommendation on the reverse: "shoot him on the spot".  However, a diesinker's error rendered some of them (like this one) rather hilarious: "shoot him on the spoot".  I'm not sure what a spoot is, but I wouldn't want to get shot there!  I'll bet the errant diesinker got a boot up his spoot from the boss, when the mistake was discovered!  These misspelled tokens are popular due to the error.
