Ministry of Science Technology and Environment request cooperation from the Treasury Department to produce commemorative coins on the occasion of the Year of Thai Information Technology in 1995.

On the occasion of the government's announcement that 1995 is the year of Thai information technology. To honor the ability of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej His Majesty is a leader in the use and dissemination of Thai information technology. for the development of the country and the benefits and happiness of the Thai people The Ministry of Finance therefore approved the Treasury Department to issue commemorative coins for this occasion, both polished and unpolished.

Front – in the middle of the coin is a portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. turn his face to the left His robes are universal. Along the left edge of the coin is labeled "Bhumibol Adulyadej" on the right side has the inscription "Rama IX"
The reverse – center of the coin has the symbol of the Year of Information Technology. There is an image of the world behind the left, with text indicating the price in Thai numerals and the word "Baht", on the right, with the text indicating the price in Arabic numerals, and the word "BAHT" next to the edge of the coin below, with the text "Thailand".
