Att Tin Coin, Phra Mongkut - Phra Saeng Chak Rama 4 year 1862
1862, His Majesty King Mongkut. His Majesty graciously Let the mint produce tin coins to exchange for shellfish premiums and announced the use of this newly made Kapa Att (Att coin) and Soros on August 25, 1862. This tin coin was made of black tin mixed with copper. On one side, there is an elephant seal in the circle. On the other side, there is a picture of Phra Maha Mongkut and Chat. A large tin coin, called “Att”, costs eight per cent. For the small size, called "Sorot", the price is 16 pieces per fung. Exchange rate in the reign of King Rama IV 8 Att is 1 Feung, 16 Sorots is 1 Feung
