The 5th coin in the Masterpieces in Stone series is going to be fine and impressive – just as the iconic building depicted on it! Built to impress (c.1624-98), the Palace of Versailles is a magnificent example of French Baroque architecture and the most famous royal chateau in France.
Traditionally, the 3 oz silver 999 coin is struck in detailed high relief with an antique finish and decorated with a genuine sodalite inset. A perfectly elaborate reverse design demonstrates the interior of the War Room in the finest detail.
The reverse of the coin depicts the precise and highly detailed image of the War Room in the Palace of Versailles, with a wonderful Sodalite stone. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “MASTERPIECES IN STONE” – the name of the series. On top, the inscription: “WAR ROOM” – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin shows a different angle of the room and the Coat of Arms of Fiji on the left. All around the obverse, the inscriptions: “FIJI” – the issuing country, “2018” – the year of issue and “10 DOLLARS” – the face value.
