The exhibition Steinskulpturen aus Simbabwe (Stone Sculptures from Zimbabwe) brought together 67 works by 39 contemporary artists in Erfurt (21.12.1988-15.01.1989) and in the Neue Berliner Galerie im Alten Museum in Berlin (01.02.1989-19.02.1989). It has been realized by the Ministry of Culture of the GDR, the Center for Art Exhibitions of the GDR and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Zimbabwe
The exhibition was accompanied by the catalogue Aus der Nationalgalerie Simbabwe. Steinskulpturen aus Simbabwe, edited by the Zentrum für Kunstausstellungen der DDR, Erfurt 1988.
