Comments:
After the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801, Denmark had to give up its policy of neutrality with respect to the parties involved in the Napoleonic Wars. However, this only made worse, and after the British bombing of Copenhagen, (to prevent Denmark offering its fleet to Napoleon's allies) 4-5 September 1807, Denmark lost his spirit and the fleet was delivered as a booty of war.
And after the British bombardment of Copenhagen 4-5 September 1807 - here lost Our Lady Church's steeple - handed over the fleet as booty.
The loss of the fleet was a disaster, and a country collection of silver was therefore planned to finance a new fleet. This coin was minted in Altona with part of this collected silver.
