Cross denarius, Wroclaw mint, before 1100.
OBVERSE: head of St. John in a double border: pearl and continuous
REVERSE: cross in double border: pearl and continuous, in the corners V●V● signs
Silver, diameter 12 mm, weight 0,36 G
NOTE: A very interesting coin struck with an unusual stamp and low weight - perhaps one of the last issues. Coin made using the "cross denar" technique with a raised rim. On the edge of the coin visible imperfections in the handling of this difficult technique. Coins similar in weight were found in Kalisz.
