Ladislaus Herman as duke of Poland

denarius, later type of duke Ladislaus denarius, dated after 1086, Cracow mint 

OBVERSE: Schematic portrait of Prince Ladislas to the left.

REVERSE: A building with three towers topped by crosses. Some historians interpret this as the oldest image of Krakow. It is more likely to regard this representation as a symbol of the CIVITAS DEI.
