The Republic of Ghana has launched a fantastic ultra high relief shaped coin series dedicated to the Gods of Norse mythology. This release is a celebration of Thor, the famed hammer wielding god, who is associated with lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, and the guardianship of mankind. Thor is one of the many sons of Odin, and is appointed with iconic weaponry which includes the belt Megingjoro and the iron gloves Jarngreipr, in addition to the hammer Mjolnir.
- This 2022 Norse Gods series coin is struck from copper-nickel.
- The coin is minted in the shape of Thor, with an approximate diameter of 45 mm.
- The coin features a stunning silver plated antiqued finish.
- The coin is considered to be legal tender for two cedis in the Republic of Ghana.
- Mintage is limited to only 2,500 pieces.
