History:
Charles Albert of Sardinia (in Italian Carlo Alberto di Savoia), born in Turin on October 2, 1798 and died in Porto (Portugal) on July 28, 1849, also known as Charles Albert of Savoy because of his membership in the House of Savoy, was King of Sardinia, titular King of Cyprus and Jerusalem, Duke of Savoy and Duke of Genoa from 1831 to March 23, 1849, Prince of Piedmont, seventh Prince of Carignan from 1800 to March 23, 1849, and Count of Barge from 1800 to the day of his death.
