Sticknålskydd

Skydd för sticknålar i form av damkängor, i silver. 1800-tal.

The boot motif was quite fashionable in the late 19th century in The Netherlands for the guarding of needles; these date to the 1860's. The boots are hollow and nicely decorated on the exterior. They have no markings but are very likely antique dutch silver.
